5 Thoughtful Wedding Gift Ideas They’ll Love

Wedding presents bring so much JOY! It is so fun to pick out the perfect gift for a couple you love that’s getting married just to show them you’re happy for them and are excited for their new life together!

In fact, opening all the gorgeously wrapped presents the day after our wedding is still one of my fondest memories with my husband. One of my love language is gifts so anytime someone goes out of their way to pick out something just for me, wraps it, and gives it to me I feel so loved and so happy. Just the thought of it gets me excited!

While there are all kinds of gifts to give at weddings, most of which you can find on a couples registry, it is also important to make sure the newlywed couple knows how special they are to you! It can be tricky to think of something thoughtful and expresses just how much you care, but luckily, we have put together a list of thoughtful wedding presents for you to consider giving at the next wedding you go to!

Couples Massage Gift Certificate

There’s nothing better than opening an envelope and realize you have just been given the ultimate relaxation with your new spouse and that it’s completely paid for. Include some extra in there for them to indulge at the spa and get some goodies while they wait for their massage. Don’t forget to include a tip! 😉

Date Night

A gift card might seem impersonal but it’s actually one of the most practical gifts you can give a newlywed couple. This means that they will dress up, grab a bite to eat, have some great conversations, connect and maybe come home for some… well, you know. 😉 This is setting them up to get in the habit of date nights, which should never stop by the way!

Dynamic Duo

In my humbled and completely unbiased (hehe)… the best dynamic duo present would be: An annual membership to Marriage365 and our book: 365 Connecting Questions for Engaged Couples.

Our book was written for every couple at every stage of marriage. I wish we had something like this when we were first married. The newlywed couple will simply take turns asking one question a day for the first year of their marriage. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving! This will create a healthy habit of talking about deeper things rather than just, “How was your day babe?”

Game Night

Amazon usually has amazing deals on board games and card games and that’s an amazing gift for newlyweds! Rather than getting in the habit of just watching TV every night, it’s good for them to have other options like playing games together or even being able to invite over their friends for game night!

A Year of Dates (!)

This one takes some time to put together, but it is an INCREDIBLE and VERY THOUGHTFUL gift for a newlywed couple to receive. The idea is that you put together 12 envelopes (one for each month of their first year married) with a gift card and some connecting questions on a notecard. You can get $10 gift cards to frozen yogurt, coffee, smoothies, whatever you want! Then, on our website, we have dozens of blogs with free connecting questions. It will give them the gift of being able to go out once another to get a treat and connect with each other in a unique way, and they’ll think of you every time they do! Win-Win!
